MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2001 film?

In 1969 the young university professor, Luis Dalmau, is arrested for his political activity and deported to an island located a few kilometers from the coast, inhabited by a small community of men and women living in the Salinas. Dalmau, seduced by the island, decided to postpone their plans of escape and gradually deeper into the lives of the island discovering the dramas and secrets of some of its inhabitants.
