MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1988 film?

In 1984 a set of five Argentines led by Alfredo Barragan, generated the project of crossing the Atlantic on a raft. Researching the history of navigation, Barragan found that Africans could reach America 3000 years before Columbus. Nobody believed him, they treated him crazy and reckless, and scientists considered unattainable Atlantic crossing 35 centuries ago. Still, together they launched the ocean on marine vessel and precarious oldest man has used: a raft of logs, no engine or rudder. They defied the sea, history and general skepticism. And so, after four years of struggle and 52 days of incredible journey, materialized one of the finest feats of all time. " Atlantis" is a contribution to science but, above all, is an invitation to the Lord to believe in himself. Upon arriving in America, the captain of the raft summed it up in one sentence: "The Lord knows that man can ".
