MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1999 film?

This documentary traces the life of Chilean singer Victor Jara. The beginnings and his peasant childhood, his youth in a marginal population of Santiago, his work in the theater, his career as a musician with the support of Violeta Parra, and commitment to social thought leftist Allende came to power in 1970. Finally the tragic outcome: Allende died in La Moneda, Jara was tortured at Estadio Chile, and murdered with impunity. Like many, his widow must leave the country and from abroad begin an arduous struggle to regain the legacy of Victor, whose work is destroyed and banned in the country. The documentary draws a parallel between the story of Jara and Chile suffers transformations.
