MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1940 film?

A street kid grows up and becomes a cop. One of his childhood friends is in prison for a crime he did not commit, and the cop looks for evidence to free him. Meanwhile, the prisoner's brother is mixed with a gang of counterfeiters and discover the necessary evidence.
