MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1952 film?

After being abandoned, Roberto longer the brilliant doctor once was and becomes an alcoholic. After losing a patient runs away hiding in a boat to forget his shame. Thus ends witnessing the death of a human being much like himself and decides to take his identity to begin again.
