MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1998 film?

Coming from a very humble family, we have a man who owed everything to his country but at the same time was exploited by it without any kind of punches. Directed by Bruno Monsaigeon, this documentary explores the man and the artist accompanied by an outstanding audiovisual material as well as the testimony of eyewitnesses and the cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, his son, violinist Igor Oistrakh well, or what was his student more outdone, Gidon Kremer. A special place is occupied by the director Gennadi Rozhdestvensky, whom starkest accusations made to the bureaucrats of Soviet culture ministry, which even blame the untimely death of the violinist.
