MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1947 film?

Trumbo, an army deserter, is the guide of a group of settlers, among whom are Lily and Michael Fabian, that target California, driven by the desire of adventure and the gold rush. When they arrive, they find a city dominated by anarchy, where the evil Captain Coffin imposes its law despotically. Trumbo will handle Coffin derail attempts to provoke an uprising in California.
