MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1951 film?

In studies of Cinecittà, the director Alessandro Blasetti is casting to select the girl who act in his new piece cinematográgica. Among mothers who have brought their daughters Maddalena Cecconi is a neighborhood woman who dreams of seeing her daughter in the Olympus of the big stars. Against the will of her husband, Maddalena spares no means to achieve their goal: Mary enrolls in a course of dancing and acting, photographer and hairdresser pays him dressed as charged. In his obsession, trust in Alberto Annovazzi incautiously an unscrupulous speculator who claims to have the contacts necessary to perform the test Mary.
