Townes Van Zandt, the singer of the singers, so admired and versioning like damn, the Texan who left wife and family to live life rich artist who died in 1997 at age 52. Deprived of his childhood memories by electrosocks he received after being diagnosed as manic depressive with schizophrenic tendencies, Van Zandt, carried the cross of self-destruction: women, alcohol and heroin. His songs have been sung by Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Cowboy Junkies, Tindersticks or Norah Jones despite the respect and admiration of all, I never achieved fame or money.
